Some of the best instructors in the country are at Elk – come join us! First-time skiers, established skiers, or snowboarders looking to learn or fine-tune their skills can do so with a lesson from a member of the Elk Mountain Ski School.
Our school is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and utilizes the American Teaching System.
Elk Mountain takes great pride in its ski school programs and lessons. Class sizes are limited to ensure a quality experience. Lessons may be sold out during busy periods. Further details are available at the ski school desk. Please visit our Ski School to purchase Group/Private Lessons and First-time Packages. Registration is required one hour prior to start time. Proof of age may be required at time of registration. First Come/First Served for all lessons.

Participants are assigned to groups based on their demonstrated skills.
All levels are welcome – beginner, green trail skiers and those who are comfortable skiing all trails.
A late fee will be charged if parents arrive after 12:30 p.m.
Availability is on a first come first served basis. Signups after reaching capacity is not possible.

The Elk Mountain Rangers Ski School is a season long program sold with a limit on participants. Offered Saturday & Sunday (1/3/26 through 2/22/26 non holidays) for 3 hours per day with a prompt 9:30 a.m. start. Ek Mountain Rangers Ski School is a program for all skiers age 6 to 12.
Children who are beginners, skiing green circle or blue square trails, or even those comfortably skiing all trails can enjoy 3 hours of professional ski instruction with safe and structured lesson plans to improve their technique and build self-confidence.
Children will be assigned to specific groups according to their individual levels.
This program is designed to be a Learn to Ski Better Program and is a recommended first step prior to pursuing junior race program (aka Cruisers). All programs may start each day at the bottom of the beginner slope regardless of level.
